Update + Original Poem: She Says

I was meant to write my first Top 5 list today, but then I realised I didn't have enough points to actually make it to five. However, the next few weeks have some awesome movies coming out, and I'm hoping to watch them and post some reviews.

This whole blogging-on-a-schedule is quite different to what I've been used to, and I must say I enjoy it. Simply put, it keeps my laziness in check. I hope to keep bringing you guys regular content, as well as extra little snippets here and there. If you'd like me to try something new, or find that there is a way I can improve, don't hesitate to comment about it.

I've been really swamped this past week, so today I'll give you a poem that I wrote a while back. Contrary to popular belief, I'm an Asian that actually likes English. Out of all of the subjects taught in schools, it is the most underrated of the lot. Then again, there are a lot of problems with schooling in general, but that's something for another post. For now, I hope you enjoy my poetry.

she says

While waiting, we wait
“Hello” she states
“Hi”
As I look into her eyes
time slips by
My turn comes
She waves goodbye
I smile in reply
I play my piece
bow to the crowd
I hasten back
She’s gone
Then I hear her song
I step to the stage
She meets my gaze
Her shape and shadow…
Perfect
Her rise, her fall…
Beautiful
The dance ends
She sashays to me
“Amazing” I say
She smiles again
Then…
We embrace
For a second
I feel her hands
her chest
her face
She walks away
“Good bye”
“It was nice to meet you”
she says
